Magical Place

It is hard to find much interest in a winter garden, but not so in this one. Even on a cool January day, Filoli Gardens were magical: neatly groomed, green, beautifully formal.

I went there to learn how to prune and train roses, and it was time well spent. In case, you are not sure, or wondering, this is how a well pruned rose tree should look like. I am going again in March to study "garden design". Can not wait. They will have daffodils blooming by then.
