Spring has arrived!

There was no rain this morning, and I took full advantage of it. I did a "walk through" first, and it seemed like I never would be able to do everything that needs to be done: weeding, fertilizing, cleaning dead leaves, new planting... But I took a deep breath, and started my first spring day in the garden. While I was doing my chores, I found lots of surprises: Daffodils blooming, looking fresh and strong, Tulips breaking the ground and looking promising, Sweet Pees as high as the fence behind them, Crocus emerging with it's blue head in a place where I never planted it, Hydrangeas with new lemony green leaves, and roses looking alive and well.. Somehow, by 5 o'clock, lots of things get done. I even managed to get to Home Depot and buy some flowers to plant tomorrow, not to mention that I had my first outdoor coffee break today. Hurray! Spring has arrived, and I am thoroughly enjoying it's first warm days.
Here are some shots I've made today!
